near the end of summer in oregon, it just adds light and makes the car feel spaceous. lol. the a/c works great, so even mid summer i couldn't imagine it being a problem here.

i put alot of thought into it (like a couple hours, haha) and figured top gear uk had to of tested this car at one point. they did and jeremey did the segment. he led in with nothing but good to say, then followed by saying he traded in his 355 ferrari for one. they tear the shit out of 90% of cars they test. he had nothing but good to say. the trans though, seems to think too much. will try a comp reset and see if it will relearn my driving habits!

Very nice....the SL's are different beasts for sure.

And its amazing how the 55 drives nothing like a 600, and a 600 drives nothing like a 65.

Nothing like driving around in your living room, unbelievably comfortably, and can still smoke 98% of the cars around.

I've played with the idea of selling the vette and getting an sl as a daily driver, I've heard maintenance can be expensive

been working on this thing non stop. got my cf rear spoiler today, so had to order front cf spoiler after slapping the rear on. also had the resonators pulled and now it sounds like it should have stock! nothing crazy, but you can tell it has balls.
pulled the trigger on a larger separate heat exchanger for the water/air intercooler, larger pump, in trunk water tank, 180mm crank pulley and tune. sounds like i should be hitting 500rwhp and 620tq in a jiffy! nitrous will get me the rest of the way to 600rwhp.

There's a matte black new CL63 parked next to me at the gym, black rims, lights etc, think its lowered too. I'll snap a pic if its still there when I leave.

Edit - mehh, was gone when I left, sharp looking car. We had an E55 but it was a complete pile of shit, worst car we've ever had by far. Was fine for like the first 20k miles then it was just one thing after another, including suspension failing and being replaced. Got rid of it just as the warranty was ending, never own an AMG after warranty expires. My cousin works at the Benz dealer by me, you either get a decent car or a nightmare one, no middle ground, others I know seems to be the same experience. Cousin was even driving one of the E550 demos the other week and broke down and had to be flat bedded back to the dealer lol.

Yet I'm still ubber tempted by the new E63. Mmmm, you'd have to be nutz to pick the ugly porky feeling M5 over it, go figure now Benz is the one that feels fun and handles sharp yet BMW feels numb now.

a few updated pics.

painted headlights black inside, added leds inside lights that are on whenever car is on, black single blade grill, smoked side markers, cf front and rear spoilers, larger heat exchanger water pump, larger aux heat exchanger, and covered wood inside with cf wrap. just need to tint windows to match rear quarter windows and do the wheels in satin black. coming along good so far!
