I saw a half hour program on SPEED today all about the S7, it was pretty impressive. Seems the street versions are very close to the roadrace version. They also said that the S7 factory supplies alot of parts in building the "chunks". I'm trying to remember if there was a program devoted to the "chunks"
Ron take the factory tour ....there is ONE small cross member difference between the road and race versions.
I saw the show too, its actually a year or so old (from prior to the TT model). In a later show they tell you that the newer street cars would be faster than the track cars. this is due to the larger diffusers that are run on the street cars (there is a regulation on the size of diffuser allowed in the race series) thus giving more down force and cornering ability. (assuming same tires of course) Pretty cool.

For most who stated the Saleen.
Man, I can't afford either of em at this time, ( yes giving the Wayne's World bow to all owners )
However, that Saleen looks more like a kit car to me. (IMO)
The GT however, PURE art, total beast, interior is sick, sound is sick, performance etc....
Either way both are sick, but to not choose the GT.... Mannnnnn I don't get it.
I'd have to go with the Saleen S7. I've ridden in both the Ford GT and a Saleen S7. I've heard Ward talk about how much fun he's had with his S7. Basically since the S7 is so rare and outrageous looking I'd have to go with it. The Ford GT is an incredible car too and quite a bang for the buck though.
I'd take the S7 in trade and then go out and buy another GT right away! However I'd like to sit in Ward's as the one we rode in during the Rally at Saleen had a driver's seat built for someone much smaller than me. Ward's driver's seat would likely be roomy by comparison.
Don't we have a video of you and I getting in and out of the S7 last summer at the Ford GT rally? You pretty much have to be a contortionist to get in and out of the S7. Pretty tight fit once you get in too.
Sean, We will have to get Don to practice getting in and out on the S7 so he looks professional. Then Don needs to pick up an S7 where he can have one of each.

The S7 is the "Supermodel" type car with than 80 S7 in the world today. Its lines are stunning and it draws attention like a rock star. To drive one thru hard corners makes you feel like your heart will explode from the adrenaline rush. It will blow the FGT in all aspects.
