I'd take the S7 in trade and then go out and buy another GT right away! However I'd like to sit in Ward's as the one we rode in during the Rally at Saleen had a driver's seat built for someone much smaller than me. Ward's driver's seat would likely be roomy by comparison.
And the limey mag write up means nothing. The british car mags are notoriously biased, unlike the US auto press...
Staying on subject, in person Wards car is breathtaking. If you have not sat in an S7, or even saw it in person it is hard to compare it to anything. The car has the WOW factor. Ward had it parked in front of my hotel window next to my Viper & I swear my car disappeared in the S7's shadow.
There's a guy in my town with the Ford GT and I've talked to him before...he uses it as a daily driver, no problems or anything like that. I must say though, every time it drives by it still looks gorgeous no matter how many times I see it.
The Saleen S7 is a gorgeous car, but for my money, the Ford GT is more useable as an everyday car than the Saleen is and I think it looks much better too. The Saleen is too fucking big, it's an awesome super car, but for my money I'd take the GT in a heartbeat. I think it's a car that has a lot more going for it, save for the power aspect.
And yes, I'm also a 20 year old broke college kid who can only dream of owning cars like these.
I am not a morning person & strayed off topic to easy today.

Rick I don't know why the quote will not pick up the attachment..... but did you notice the hair matches the S7
I'm surprised to see so many votes for the FGT. Yes, I love my FGT, but come on. If someone walked up to you and offered you your choice of either car for the same price, I dont think anyone here would still take the FGT. It's funny to hear some say that the FGT is more practical. They are both VERY IMPRACTICAL!
Seriously, if I had to choose one, I'd still take the GT. The S7 is way more wild, exotic and bananas, but it's a race car through and through. The GT is just a really fast street car. I'd be uncomfortable using the S7 like I use my GT. Clearly, the S7 is the choice if you want the crazier hypercar, and with the coin required to buy one, it's a no brainer. But I've got history with the GT and I just couldn't give it up.
My vote is for the Saleen of course. I believe that the S7 has the raw exotic look and has the meat to back it up. It also says "Exclusiveness" which to me means more to me then anything. Much like owning a Viper, it's nice to roll into a get together and see the expression on a kid when he see's a "Viper". Then you look at the Saleen vs. the Viper and per looks, the S7 will win.
Don you would fit perfect in my car, since our builds are similar. The only place to sit in a S7 is in the driver's seat. The driver has lots of room and the seat is molded to your specs and pedals are preset for your body size. Where as the passenger area is constricted due to the A/C consider.
The S7 is a hoot to drive and watch other people's reaction is incredible and many times is hairlarious..... people just have NEVER seen one in the flesh or might I say in carbon fiber.
