People that make the same remark over and over are so damn ignorant. View the link for the real rundown on the H2.

Extend the tahoe frame, throw on a I wanna look like a H1 and still have the soccer mom minivan functionality and blammo you have a H2. Suspension pieces are weak on them both in offroading and any sort of accident/trauma. They are nothing more to me than a wanna-be offshoot of the H1 for the masses. I wish the case was that i am ignorant, but unfortunately I know several folks that own H2's. I personally own a H1 and other capable offroad vehicles that put even the H1 to shame (which in it's own right is like apples to oranges between the capabilities between the H1 and H2/H3). The link is nothing more than a soccer dad trying to defend his vehicle. A good analogy would be to take a srt-4 neon- extend the frame a bit, toss in a different tranny, throw a pseudo looking viper body kit on it and call it a Viper2 and market it to the masses at a 3rd the cost.

Back on target for this forum, the Ford GT is a beautiful car, and this mockery of a Hummer should be burned for trying to emulate it in any way.

Thank You. It seems that the majority of people getting upset when I let them know the H2 is a wanna be hummer are the actual H2 drivers or people who want one. The H2 is as much a hummer, as a viper go-klart offered by mopar, is a viper. H2's are nice vehicles but its just annoying hearing the owners referring to their "hummers." I think the right to say the name alone is what got agood amount of people to buy it.
If they made a 40-50k ferrari you can guarantee they would sell as many as they can produce simply because people want the name. It is amazing how bad some people need to feel important.
Once again, H2's are nice vehicles but I think the ego bubble surrounding them needs to be burst from time to time.

Hummer has earned the right to produce the H2's because of where the H1 has gotten them and this country. It's not a bad vehicle at all but I don't see why everybody hates it. Thre is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

Yes.. I wonder what the fuck you are smoking too.. Did you miss the fact that I own a H1? Perhaps you only understand pictures?

Hummer H1 is AM General, H2 is GM.. get the facts straight. Different factories, and not a SINGLE interchangeable part. H1 does not equal H2. GM bought marketing rights to the "Hummer" name and literally drove what used to be an exclusive marque into the trashbin. That's the only "earning" that ever happened..
Since you like links so much.. enjoy this one: FUH2 | Fuck You And Your H2
Unfortunately thanks to the H2, the general uneducated public in general think all hummers are now soccer mom trucks.
I understand some folks that buy them for "bling" but accept them for what they are.. which isn't anything more than a blinged out extended Tahoe with a different body.

I didn't miss the fact that you own because you never mentioned it to me. Looks great. The H2 is a lot "more than a blinged out extended Tahoe with a different body." Have you driven one? I haven't yet but I've heard a lot of testimonials. The two models are very comparable offroad but the H2's only weaknesses are:
1) A gas engine
2) OEM tires (they don't work well in the mud)
3) Those ugly side steps

I'm not a big fan of the H2 and an even lesser fan of the H3, but the one MCM posted looks like something a Gotti kid would own.

I don't think I'd want to change a flat & have to hurl the dead tire up onto the roof. What's a tire & wheel weigh.....it's got to be well over a hundred pounds?

155lbs.. and yes it is a bitch to get that sucker on the roof by yourself. luckily anything short of a fist sized hole in a tire and you can disconnect the CTIS from the other 3 wheels and just have the compressor keep the tire that has a hole in it inflated till you get home.

My brother had an H2, too bad we never tested it in that way. Only thing we got here in Miami are swamps, I guess mudding would of been nice at least.

It got stolen in his highschool about a year and a half later. Never found (OnStar and all)
