News Video of Camillo Pardo Driving Ford GT in Bull Run

This story aired on a local Detroit channel this week. It was supposedly about a video posted on You Tube of Ford GT designer Camillo Pardo doing 140 mph through the highways west of Detroit. Click link for the story and video.

Personally, I love to drive my Viper fast and everything, but the things some of the people in these Bull Runs, Players Runs, Cannonball Runs, etc do is just plain stupid. Nothing against Camillo as I've met him and he's a great guy, but I'm just talking about these rally's in general. It would be cool to go cross country with a bunch of high end sports cars, attend the parties, etc but not at the risk of getting innocent people killed. It would be so easy to have someone driving near the speed limit of let's say 70 mph to switch lanes thinking everything is clear and not expecting someone to be crossing 4 lanes of traffic doing 140 mph and rear end them. These types of videos give owners of high end sports cars a bad name and it's why others call us a bunch of rich assholes. I'm no saint. Everytime I take my Viper out I do at least 120 mph. I've taken it to 175 mph on the highway, but there is a time and place for everything. I don't do it on crowded streets or when there is much traffic at all. And I certainly don't weave in and out of traffic.

Sean ....Camilo did not seam like a manic that would endanger the public like that. He actually seamed to be a reserved person when I meet him at the F GT rally. I am sure the Ford executives have given him an earful. Ford does not need any bad press given their situation. I have heard that Ford is going to cut their work force by 30%.

I saw in the news video that someone was using my car for the run.

That's why I said nothing against Camillo. This could have been a video of any of the other participants in the Bull Run. My point is that driving that fast and switching several lanes like that in that kind of traffic is asking for trouble. Make
for a great video though. I did see your car in the vid. But it threw me for a loop when they put $14,000 on top of it. The car is more like $614,000. But then I realized that was the entry fee for the Bull Run.

I also think that was kind of stupid how the guys in the vette said his name and then posted a video all over the internet.............granted it was him and he should be ready to accept responsibility for it, but that was just stupid on the vette guy's part
