For you hardcore GT40 enthusiasts
Today I was at an exotic meet and we went to this guy's garage where his private collection is one of the most impressive I have ever seen. I have a lot more pics but I thought I'd post these in the Ford GT section.
It is the 1966 Lemans champion car. It was just awesome to see in person.
Here it is signed by Carol Shelby and the drivers
I had a few more pics but these are the ones that turned out the best. It was amazing, I hope you guys enjoy it

I was at the Pittsburgh Auto show and they had a GT40 there which they said was some guy's daily driver (except deep snow) for like 20 something years. That guy is my hero.

66 LeMans winner? yea...thats a keeper.
Enzo Ferrari hated Ford GT's....
why?
Because they beat his cars.

I remember seeing that car now....It was at the Indy museum 2 years ago. One sweet piece of history.
Interesting to note that 2 years ago the car had different wheels and the front jacking bars were a different color.
Here is the pic I took of the car in the museum...

That is a car that you could just about name your price and someone would be willing to pay it. That car needs its own 3/4" thick, lighted, climate controlled plexiglass box constructed around it.

i think the whole ford team was listed as 'drivers' of all the other cars, so technically you were right... but i think only the 2 NZ dudes actually DROVE that car at the race.
