Now that Fontenot pulled the trigger, and there are at least three members of the board with GTs, and everyone is drooling, I thought I'd throw this out.
There is a Solid Black '06 GT with all the trimmings available right now at the dealership where I bought mine for sticker!
Here's the story:
The owner of the dealership had sold the first one they received in '05 at a premium to a guy that had reserved it long ago. Then they received this Black '06 a couple of months ago and the dealer decided he would allow the car to be auctioned off with any proceeds over sticker to go to a local charity. At auction the car brought $70k over sticker which ain't bad. However the following Monday, when the deal was to be closed the auction winner called and claimed that he 'really didn't have a place for the car', so he would donate the $70 large to the charity and the dealership could have the car back to sell!
The fleet manager at this dealership is a friend of mine and I've bought a ton of trucks from him. After they had received this car I had asked him to find mine, which they brought in from Ohio and I bought almost 6 weeks ago. I'm playing in a golf tournament with him this weekend and he confirmed that they would indeed sell this car at sticker. Sticker deals are not that hard to find right now but I think finding one in this color readily available would be. It's possible but doubtful they would discount after they had it on floor plan for awhile, but my shopping experience has been that if you wait for a dealer to discount a GT, the car will typically be sold out from under you.
My opinion on current pricing is that supply has recently caught up with immediate demand, but as we get into the summer and the end of production in August/September time frame prices will start to rise again as people snap them up before they're gone.

Nice to see a dealer do such a decent thing as the auction for charity! Let us know who it was when the car sells because he deserves the good publicity.
I'm trying to prepare things on the homefront for a purchase just like that. It's just not going over so well, right now. As soon as the new landscaping and kitchen is in, I can pull the trigger.
Thanks for the info. Biggsie. If I don't find a color soon that doesn't look like an easter egg I may switch to the GT....but I gotta admit that it would have to be either your color or GB's....two best in my opinion.
Biggs, are you in Vegas tonite, lol? I just pulled into the garage at my hotel and YOUR CAR (GT-Silver/black stripes) is parked right there opposite the elevator. I left a puddle of drool, so the cement is a little wet around the car. Don't slip and fall!
Took some Treo 650 shots and will post up when I get home.
