Enough already. We know you have nothing good to say unless it has to do with Heffner's kit. His kit will be availible soon enough so you can be the next inline.
Nice pull. Makes power all the way until the throttle was lifted - a tad under 7000... power would have still been close to 1000rwhp at 7k....
that's efficient plumbing - well done guys!
You could offer a dress up package with coatings, covers/shields and polishing for those that want it to look more pretty.
Are you running water injection?
No water injection.
I know very few people know how this car came about so I guess it is story time.
The car was drop off Monday night to start kit developement. Wednesday mid day the owner informed us that he would like to drive the car that weekend and asked could it be done. We knew when we said most likely that if we ran into any problems that we would not have time to correct them. One of the problems was the driver's side up pipe. After final welding it had moved slightly. That threw the alignment of the turbos off which in turn makes the air filter pipe not perfectly straight.
The original plan was to figured out which back housings where going to work the best for the power we wanted to make then take it all apart and have the parts coated/polished and install blankets, reroute oil lines. Just basically look at everything that we didnt like and clean it up. It did not work out that way.
With that said, I feel we did a damn fine job on this kit. No it is not the show piece that Heffner's is. The 2 kits were design with different priorities.
This kit is what I would like to call a working prototype and it apparently works pretty damn well. My only response the the people that must vent all the negative opinions will be the dyno graph on none at all.
Thanks for your time and please dont forget that we made over 1000 WHP in 10 days.
Joe, Tony, Dwight and the team are badass. I've worked with Dwight for years, and I've know him for almost 10 years and he's top notch. He can make something bling with the best of them. But when it comes to testing and making the kit perfect that's what he does first before coating/polishing so that he doesn't have to redo a ton of work or waste time.
I would be when the kit is in production that it will be polished/coated and look fantastic, also Dwight and team are probably capable of making more power then most of the guys messing with Ford GT's right now.
Keep this in mind with us turbo/import guys we like to make 250-300hp a cylinder. Why do you think they got the kit done in 10 days and busted off 1000hp to have the most powerful GT in 10 days.
Being that you keep stating that it was fabricated in 10 days, then there should be very little developmental costs associated with this kit.
I have heard on one of these threads that this kit is in the neighborhood of $30K? Are you kidding me? Those parts dont even equal a 1/4 of that (cost). I hope for your sake that is just a rumor and not the case, or else there wont be many of these kits around.
I guess there is a heavy Ford GT tax on this kit.
Nice work guys. Looking forward to seeing the video of this thing on the street. Can't wait to hear about a top end pull at some time. I heard this thing pulls right past 215mph!!!!!
