Now I know I shouldnt be posting videos of my car getting beat, but I know how much we all like FGT's too.
Heres a vid of My car and my buddies GT running - the GT Ran a 10.44 with a bogging start but trapped 145 MPH !!! That was with a small 30 shot - now the car has a much larger shot and a new tune - Should Trap near 150MPH !! 9 sec car.
Try to get past the video quality . There are some other Misc. races on there too. The first viper race is crap (couldnt hear the horn) , the second is clean. Enjoy.
by the way Mods to the viper include: Cat and resonator delete (stock muffler in place) - Mods to the GT include - Pully swap - headers - straight pipes , N20 shot 50- 75 , Drag radials .
I must say I've never been a 'ford guy' but always totally open minded to all makes.
But that Ford GT, if I ever had the means, along with my viper, I would most certainly include a Ford GT in the collection.

New z06? To me, ( subjective ) fast yes, but blends a bit too much and not for me at all, especially with this mark up of costs etc..
Just got done with a drive soooooo fucken fine! Got pulled over and next thing I know there are three cops! Checked my license and let me go, after they checked out the car for 10 minutes. I know it kinda sucks, but I can't blame them! When they were walking off one said "Drive carefully! I'd hate to have to drive that to the impound! hehe!"
Funny thing, it was almost the exact same spot the exact same thing happened to me 5 years ago with the GTS when it was new!

They wanted you to feel as special in the GT as you did in the Viper.
The hp I agree with you on but where are you getting 400lb's less weight?
The GT I believe may be heavier than a gen 2.
I was pretty sure the GT weighed more than a Gen II, but after a quick Google, they weigh about the same.
Funny how the GT first had a 50 shot, then 50 to 75. I'd say it has more like a 150 shot.
One BS statement was the the GT was at 145 at the end of 3rd. According the factory ratios, the end of third is around 122 mph. (unless of course the rear end ratio was changed) Not trying to take away from how fast this car is, but I just hate misinformation.
