I recently bought an Escort SX7 Radar unit. I used the supplied braket for the front radar sensor and welded a piece of 1" flat bar under the bracket to make a lower mount for attaching the laser sensor. The 2 nuts showing behind the upper grille are what I used to mount the bracket. I had to drill the brackets original holes larger to allow the stock bolts to fit through the holes. this setup made for a nice, hidden instal.
I did have to drill two holes, one through the body above the rear license plate and instead of the 2 recommended through the firewall, I modified the grommet so that I used a single grommet to run both wires through the footwell from the front scanners (hated it).
I used the velcro to attach the display to the upper sunvisor, easy to see and not obvious unless you lower the sunvisor. The display cable was glued (contact cement) into the trough between the windshield post and the metal backing of the door's weather stripping.
The 2 sided tape was used to attach the interface to the side of the body behind the driver's side lower dash (above the fuse access).
Other than the welding, I found this a neat and easy 6 hr. instal (including painting the bracket).
I'm also happy with the product. I really hated the Bell hanging off my windshield and using the only cig plug in the car. the Bell also didn't detect well from the back because of it's low mounting position.
I got the same thing with the laser jamming stuff. Its well worth using one just to know when you are hit with laser, the cops most of the time don't get a reading. I just paid circuit city to do the install, so much easier then wasting 6 hours of my time

Laser Jammers are great to give you those 2 or so seconds to brake. My buddy rigged it up so that when the jammer was operating, it turned off his brake lights (had an arming switch to allow this).

That is awesome! What kind of car did he do that on? Viper?
