I was finally let out of IDF jail when they grew tired of me asking, "So which one of you killed Jesus?" I knew all the Jew jokes would come in handy some day. Unfortunately, and in retrospect, I probably made a lot of people uncomfortable at barmitzvahs while I was finding my way.

But, seriously, 4 days in New York and Boston just sucked the tan right off me. It's like there's some cultural cleansing in place up there to remove the heart and soul out of Texan passers-by. I kept offering, "But I'm a Red Sox fan! Nooooooo-mahhhh!" but they weren't having it and made me check my tan, my accent, and my "chowder...would that be like man chowder?" takes at Logan.

D'ja stay at the Mariott Copley Place? Pretty decent digs - I was there about this time last year. Madman MarkO came by and took me out for a cruise in his '97 GTS. Great food, but the world is just a little too densely packed 'round there for my tastes.

I had dinner there in the old ice rink room one night during my stay. A very cool, very classy hotel.
