I would love to say I'm not racist and mean it, but I'd be lying. Now, I'm not a card carrying KKK member or anything, and I believe in giving someone the opportunity to show me what kind of person they are without me having any predisposed opinions on them based on skin color or nationality. Growing up, my grandparents were very racist. They are from the deep south and where they grew up that was standard. I hated it, and argued with my grandma all the time about how she was wrong and all people are equal.
Then I grew up and worked in the real world. If you deal with the general public or watch the news, you start to see a trend. It makes you racist. When the vast majority of crime you see ot hear about is commited by black people, you develope an opinion, sometimes subconsciencely. For example: You are walking down the sidewalk and come upon a group of 5 black males, wearing whatever the fuck they wear these days, and you think "gang". are they a gang? Maybe. If you were in the same situation and it was a group of 5 white guys your first impression will be diferent.
Do I think black people are bad? No, that would be stupid. I think the influences in the black community are terrible. They are led to believe the best way for them to "come up" is by crime. Sell drugs, pimping, robbery, whatever. Look at the rap industry, almost all the successful rappers claim to have been former criminals (some still are). This is where good parenting would step in and lead young people down the right path, but that doesn't seem common in the black community either. They continue on the downward spiral, while we keep building more prisons. I don't see a reasonable fix for the problem either.

I hear ya brother. Have I ever told the story about my grand parents German Shepherd? They actually trained that dog to attack Blacks. Crazy stories there. I'm no racist my man. But when I used to see 5 Black people walking my way...I'd reach for my wallet and pray.
