I'm looking for a new provider, Jax, Fl, but relocating to mid-west.
I'm looking at Verizon's National One Rate Plan.
Can anyone provide info, as to their service?
Thank you.
I'm with AT&T now.
But they don't provide service to several locales I'm looking at.
Their service is great, but they keep soliciting me, and the last time, I told them to f off, and if I recieve one more call, I'm dropping all my AT&T services.
Personally, I hate them all, but my wife has had them all and her friend has A T&T (very bad). We live in the St. Louis, Missouri Area. Always had reception problems with Verizon Wireless, switched to Sprint with no more problems. Sprint offered better plan. Our 18 year old uses the phone most of the time in a 75 mile radius with no problems. That's all I can say.
I've been with sprint for 7 years. I've traveled from coast to coast many times with no major problems. All my friends use sprint and I NEVER have problems getting thru. The only two people I know who aren't on sprint yet are the only ones I ever have trouble getting in touch with. I'll call and it will go straight to voice mail, and this happens ALL the time. I think they both use verizon, which I wouldn't recommend.
Sprint also has the coolest phones, IMO.
you don't have to change your number anymore...check with your provider but as of september, your number follows you, I believe.
November 24th
Yep...November 24th... and on November 25th... I'm switching from Cingular to... someone else.
I have had Cingular for 8 years..... from back when BellSouth was the name on the door.
I cannot get decent reception at my house, or my office... which are both a mere 8 miles from DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE!!! For about the first 3 years I would call and complain about once a year.... and I would be told "we're working on building more towers".... well... as soon as I can take my number... I'm outta there.
I here a lot of good things about Nextel..... but I'll be researching soon.
I have found Verizon to be the best in the Maryland area for service. I have heard that Verizon ranks best for coverage in the US, but that could be old information.
Verizon is the best countrywide, BUT it becomes location specific with any provider. There are only two companies that have reception at my place. Verizon and Sprint (sporadically). All others...no signal. Check with your neighbors, and co workers. Cool people are ALWAYS eager to tell you how bad their cell provider sucks.
AT&T has a special today.
A free Sony Ericsson T616 with service order.
Unusual, since the basic service contracts don't offer it for free.
Good to go for only $19 a month.
