Anyway the Yankees do suck and the Marlins proved it with 1/3 the paycheck....and what is the answer the Yanks owners has in response, spend more money. If you cannot have a coach that can create, you just buy off the shelf. Do you think the Yanks could have made it as far with cutting 2/3 of the starting talent? They play as a team??? Bull$hit the owner said it best, I will spend more money. God forbid getting the right coach to teach the kids how to play as a team? How about a phucking effort rather than spending more money? Answer he question, do you really think Torre could have taken the Marlins to the World Series? If you cut 2/3's the talent and just have rookies and average Joes, do you think he could take the team all the way. I say no. The marlins proved that the Yanks are an average team that is paid too much. I remember when some no names whipped their a$$ to from Arizona.
The Yankees worst nightmare is if they ever do a salary cap. If they don't win, I simply expect the owner to go out and spend more money on bigger players from other teams. Bonds perhaps????
