Carbon Fiber (Attempt #2)

Ok, since the thread on CF went to hell real quick, let's try another one.

So, whaccha wanna know about CF? If anyone has things they want on their car in CF, I can do them. I will need the part of course, since I am viperless.

Re: Carbon Fiber (Attempt #2)

Do you coat the part or just replicate the part? I might be interested in working something out with you.

Re: Carbon Fiber (Attempt #2)

I don't like to laminate current parts with CF, unless the part would just be too complex or time consuming to do a full part. Depends on what the part is, and it's use.

Re: Carbon Fiber (Attempt #2)

I was thinking door handle surrounds and perhaps some other smaller pieces

Re: Carbon Fiber (Attempt #2)

Handle surrounds (window stanchion plate) would be difficult to fab sine the seal for the window is actually attached to the entire stanchion plate on the 99 and newer cars. On the 98 and older cars, replacing hte stanchion cover plate actually requiers replacement of the WINDOW (so I hear).

Re: Carbon Fiber (Attempt #2)

Mine were just held in with some glue and small "feet" on either end. I dunno about gen2's though.
