My carbon fiber questions.

Since some of you fucks ruined the other CF thread lets try it again.

What suggestions do you have for building CF brake ducts?

Re: My carbon fiber questions.

Tubes can be a bitch, but do-able. Easy way I found when playing was to wet layup some CF over one of those clown-baloons. You know, the long ones used to make animals and shit. Well, they come in different sizes. I just blew one up to the right size and began working around it. when it was dry, I just popped that sucker and pulled out the remnants of rubber the balloon didn't stick to the epoxy. I think there are some other ways to get it to work well. You can

But, the results varied, and overlap always looked like crap in my opinion (but hey...it's only on one side). I was approached about doing some naca duct cooling systems for a hood, but without a viper to look at/test with, it's almost impossible for me to get the curvature right.

Re: My carbon fiber questions.

It should be noted that I have not played with tubes that much. My focus has been parts such as the airbox (multi-piece mold) and VC's (which are 2-pieces bonded upon completion for inner/outer structure).

Tubes can be made, I'm sure there are much easier ways than I have tried.
