Appologies in advance (for the actual topic of this post and the fact that it is NOT about flatulence) but I am about to buy a polishing machine and need advice as to what others use. This is the machine that I believe to be the best http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....&SKU=10625 .
Does anyone use this? Suggestions as to alternatives? Also, what polish do you reccomend for use with a power polisher (is is best to use the same as when polishing by hand)? I'm interested in removing swirl marks (sapphire blue ) and need the easiest/fastest way to do this.
A lot of guys swear by the Porter-Cable. There has been some discussions about it here and at .org. I would use products specifically for a high speed buffer/polisher. 3M has a good line of products for fine/medium and heavy scratches. Wax-on Daniel-san!
Oh, and use the Griot's products with the buffer. I had some light swirls and scratches. After the claying the paint was scratch free, looked like liquid and felt otherworldly smooth.
Okay! So far so good. For clarity, I should use those products specifically designed for polisher use? NOT pinacle (or the dreaded Zaino)?
All I know is that Griot's has it dialed in. All the right pads and applicators designed to be used with their clay, polish and wax products. I've used a lot of different junk over the years and this system is the best I've seen.
The SpeedShine alone is a fantastic quick detailer and the perfect partner when claying the paint. I use SpeedShine on the wheels every time after driving the car. Can't say enough good things about it.
City, I am anxious to see how this works out. I have a black RT and it has too many swirl marks for my liking. Please let us know how it turns out would ya?

After my choice was confirmed above, I've been exploring where to buy it (hell, why work ). I found it here for $125. Scroll down and read some of the comments. They're well written. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/det...glance&s=hi
