EVERY VCA guy lurks over here at the alley. they arent after the tech info obviously, so they read the anything goes. they know all that goes on here, just as well as any of the normal guys here do. they ALL want a piece of the action, but they have to be loyal to the VCA. i love the fact that the alley is something that everybody wants, it is a place for the big boys to hang out, talk shit, and shoot the shit. it is a place that we can team up on people as a band of brothers, and a place that we are all loyal to one another, not just some stupid Hitler-eque webpage. it is a place that WILL welcome in newbies, believe it or not, but it doesnt come easy. it is a "no girls allowed" type of place, i dont mean that sexist, i mean that as you have to earn your way in. we are NOT a fucking click, just a big group of friends. it is just like back in the day in the cafeteria when you would look at the new kid funny when he sat at your lunch table. it is just that way. there are a lot of new people that have become regulars, there are MANY that will be regulars soon, some lurking, some not. the people of the VCA are the new kids in a way. they want to know what the cool kids are up to. We have something here at the alley, and i think the VCA is on its way down. what would the vca do w/o the raffles, or promotions to all the new viper owners? nothing! they would be fucked. we are beyond the new kid on the block, we are what is next in a group of car guys, and i want to thank the likes of MP, Smoke, Trey, etc. for this board.

I won't lie, I visit both the org site and this one. Too be honest, I didn't even know about this site until last month. I came here, and the alley definitely has a more personal quality about it. I agree with the "no girls allowed" type of place. I can come here and say what I want and while this is in a ways the typical internet message boards meaning everyone will argue with everyone else on every opinion (except we all agree Monica Bellucci is hot), everyone respects everyone elses' opinions (except Bonker's opinion, cause he is always wrong).

dammit! this is the type of shit that pisses me off. all you guys are alike. the windbreaker is NOT the jacket of choice in a REAL car club. i want the full "Viperalley Bomber Jacket!" i want a giant middle finger stitched in on the back, and i want "FUCK YOU" on the chest of my jacket.
Well, we've been fortunate to have the financial support of our members (one in particular) and the popularity has made the site attractive for vendors to participate in the giveaways. This months giveaway, while partially paid for, is being sponsored by tuners.

MP, believe it or not,i dont know how many guys are really here for the giveaways. i am not here, nor ever was here for a free gift. it is just a bonus. if i win, that would be really kickass, whether it is a heads/cam or a little magazine. it isnt the prize that i "could" win that brings me back, it is the site itself
I have to agree....this place is a MUCH BETTER bullshit arena. The posts at .org have become so slow and annoying, I don't like to venture over there much anymore.
I love my VCA region here because we do a lot of events together, but the site has gone down from what it use to be.

it's funny you say that b/c when i bought my car, it was from a local North Texas VCA rep, and he gave me the full handout, told me all about the GTGs, etc. he was really proud to promote the local vca. well, he at the same time, tried to dick me around on the cost of my car. in fact, i ended up paying too much for it, but i wanted the car so bad it helped a little. well it was his attitude that really turned me off on the whole VCA type club. they meet the first saturday of every month, but what for? what can you talk about in an hour with a room full of jackasses that their idea of fun is trading zaino secrets? he laid it on real thick of how every viper owner in the Dallas area was apart of this club, it is a great time, and how you really will get a full appreciation of the car. the last thing i wanted to do was see that mother fucker once a month.... i never joined, i found the alley, and the rest is history
I enjoyed my local VCA events - we did some awesome charity events and raised some good money for good causes. I also made some good friends that shared a common interest. I wouldnt trade those experiences for anything.
The mOrg is not represenatitive of the club itself; most club members hardly know anything about the website. When I went to last years Christmas Party, I spoke to made 4 or 5 people who even knew about the whole banning experience - nobody else had a clue.

i think you are probably right. hell, Clark is a NTVCA guy, and i havent met any better guy than him. it is wrong of me to judge the entire group b/c of my first experience, but at the same time, it is hard not to. i knew little about the types of guys that drove these cars, i know the majority were older, and i just figured they were one in teh same. it is my fault for not giving it a chance, but i have met some really great Texas guys from here, and i think they make up for anything i missed from not giving the local vca a chance....
