Anyone else find it annoying when those who have not served tell you what's right and what's wrong with the military and presume to know what those who are serving think or are going through? If so, raise your hand!
I think anyone has the right to form an opinion about anything and i don't think it's a prerequisite to have experienced something to have an opinion about it. Granted i agree that having experience may make you more informed, but that shouldn't be a requirement.
Put it this way.... I'm not gay but i have opinions about homosexuality. I don't think i need to experience "manly love" to have those opinions.....
Im with everyone else, they have a right to make an opinion. I honestly would NEVER join, thats just not me. I dont want to live life on a base. I'd rather be working then learning how to clean a gun and kissing a Generals ass all day.I dont kiss ass, so I would be in some trouble.
As they say, "Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one"
What bothers me are the folks who feel they are qualified to even have an opinion. If I don't know dick about something, I keep my mouth shut cause WTF do I know. Unfortunately, most folks don't feel that way.
I especially like Leaf001 says
"and lets not forget that over %50 of our military forces enlisted because they had nothing better to do with their life at the time of enlistment..
blow me"
Then turns around and answers a question regarding the loss of first term soldiers at 35%. Obviously this guy has no idea about which he speaks and I would further guess he's one of the "35%" that couldn't hack it in the military. Dude is a putz!
