I don't like MSN either, I never use it, but Instant Messenger rocks. It makes AIM look like a kids toy. You can set backgrounds, display pics to people you are chatting with, video conference, swap files, etc.

I am not fan of aol, I use YIM or ICQ for work all time, give us real time communication within our company.
