Opinions about a 1984 Rolls Royce Silver Spur
I am selling one of my properties and this local car collector wants to work the rolls in on the deal.
It has 60k and is said to be perfect.
Any thoughts about this car?
Would this be a decent Daily driver?
How hard would it be to move?

Not knowing much about RR except that they are a mechanical nightmare, expense everthing, and the brake system is medieval.
I a word Red "NO".

$24,500 for a one owner silver spur with 70,000 miles. 30,000 miles cars bring in the mid 30's.
Does that help, BTW they aren't good at dodging cones.

Just enter 1984 Roll Royce and you'll see the silver spurs.

Re: Opinions about a 1984 Rolls Royce Silver Spur
I just drove the land yacht. This car is so much not me.... but, if I could flip it and make some$ then it would work. I would have about 7k in comparable dollars in this thing. (No realtor fees and getting my asking price for the property)
Looks like I may be pimping a Rolls soon.

Take the RR if you only have 7K in it and flip it for 14K or OBO, for a quick chunk of change before something breaks on it.

Re: Opinions about a 1984 Rolls Royce Silver Spur
it may be WORTH 14K but who the fuck is gonna buy it? Not exactly a car with high turnaround. You could be out the parking space for awhile until you find an idiot looking for one.

Re: Opinions about a 1984 Rolls Royce Silver Spur
I almost bought one a few years back for $6500. It looked beautiful, but parts and maintenance were a nighmare, with a full brake job costing $2000!
Being so cheap, it would be fun to make a cruiser/hot rod out of one. Putting the body on an LTD or Caprice frame. Then you could build up an inexpensive 400HP engine, and have a classy cruiser that won't bite you with maintenance costs.
For $7K it's not a bad deal if it's in good shape.
