I am realistic. I know I have no chance with a seriously modded viper. Although I would love to see how my car will do next to a stock one. I just upgraded my SC pulley and got mild tune. Sometime this week I hope to get a more advanced tune and some Dyno #'s. My prediction for my (slow)car [img]/images/graemlins/supergrin.gif[/img] is 450hp/465torque.

That was my prediction. I will post my chart as soon as I can. Like I said hopefully this week sometime. It seems most 03 slobras that have similar mods that I have are runnin between 440/450 to 460/470. As for putting the power down... That's a good one. 1st gear is useless with my 275 f-1's. I am seriously traction impaired. I have some new 315's Sumitumos at home. I will be throwing them on at the end of the month. Maybe it will be a little better.

It looks like a mustang. This thread sucks. I wouldn't feel sorry for a stock viper if I were in a mustang*&%$ I would feel very uncomfortable toeing the line against one knowing....he's in a viper. I may be in a supercharged pony, but, but, but....man, he's in a viper. This thread sucks. LOL. Unvelievable what some of you guys post.

It is a fact that the 03 Slobra is a good car for the price ($35K). So your telling me its also not impressive that I can spend less than $1,000 and can possibly beat a stock viper? Dont get me wrong the viper is by far the best american sportscar out there, but give credit where credit is due.

03cobra, I was giving you a hard time. I have a friend with an 03 and it surprised the crap out of me. One of my friends who spends a lot of time in my car is a die hard mustang fan. Credit is certainly due. I had a great film on a cobra starting from the interstate at 0mph and then topping it at 160 and I love the s/c whine. Sweet car, don't let that last post fool you, I was just kidding...maybe I should have put that at the end. I would never insult a man with such an ingenious avatar.

Now are they rating that at the wheels or the crank. It appears when they rated the cobra they rated it at the wheels so it did not go over the 400hp mark. Insurance companies would have jacked up the rated so high if ford set the hp rating over 400 for the cobra.
People dyno 100% stock 03 cobras and are getting 350-370 at the wheels. explain how ford get their HP #'s. I am confused.

P.S. The Ford GT does look Hella good.

I'll agree that the SVT Cobra is a great deal, and the Ford GT (terrible name) looks awesome. But there's no need to feel sorry for anyone in a Viper. It's faster than 99% of anything else on the road, and makes you feel like a celebrity whenever you drive it. [img]/images/graemlins/supergrin.gif[/img]

The terrible part about the Ford GT will probably be that even if Ford shaves the list price to "only" $125K, the auto speculators will snatch up all of the available cars, and charge an extra $60K-$100K on top of the MSRP for the first year or two to milk of all of the rich folk who have to be the first on their block to own one. It happened to the BMW Z8, Porsche GT2, and Ferrari 360 Spyder.

Should I rip into you now or later? 03's are bad ass, you have a good car there. Yes the Viper is the best American sports car out there but stick to what you can afford now, the 03 isn't a bad choice at all. Better than an SS or WS6 anyday.
