A Couple of Cliffy's Tornado Greatest Hits

I was finally able to get hosted a few short excerpts of mine and my chase partner's video of the amazing 6/23 South Dakota tornaodfest. When you have a second, check out:

The second video is somewhat disturbing as a complete house is scoured from its foundation and disintegrated. Fortunately, the family who lived there was in their storm cellar and made it out okay. Dramatic footage nonetheless and our best day of the season. Sometimes it's just unavoidable that the roads don't cooperate and you end up the quarry of the tornado. We kept having to move east as this monster did its best to close the gap. Sorry for all the screaming. We get kind of excited by perfect specimens like this that epitomize what we hope to encounter by doing what we do. We also feel shock and torrents of abrupt compassion for those unfortunate enough to be in the path of these rotating death machines.

I'll post more and longer excerpts of footage once I'm able to make the server space for it.

That's one reason I left the Midwest and moved to Kalifornia- really hated all those times we had to hide in the basement like a bunch of scared rats! Better to be totally suprised by an earthquake or tidal wave [img]/images/graemlins/freak3.gif[/img]

I have actually been in a building that a tornado hit. No storm cellars here. Pretty scary experience.

I grew up in Kansas--Tornado Alley. Once a tornado passed over our building and when we went outside afterward there as straw stuck *into* the brick. It literally drove straw into solid brick. A weird sight.

Cliffy, A.K.A. David, You have a Big Pair of Brass Balls. I still wonder, what posses an All American Guy like you to thrill seek through life chasing Mother Nature's Show of Force. I can only bear to watch "Twister" every so often. My hat is off to you and others that do this. It must be one of the biggest rushs without drugs know to man/woman, and probably better than any organism. This must be your inspiration to discombobulate all Liberals that cross your path. Anyway, the videos were total fantastic to view. I will have the Hamster hold his Oui Breathe until more are posted.
