Well, there is a problem though, when I took statistics, it said you had to have at least 30 samples, in order to get an accurate statistic.
So, if we use J. Cochran's, we need to only get the same number of white coaches, starting from the top.
Or, we need to be sure players are adequately respresented statistically among non-blacks, also.
It is called affirmitive action and it is a one way street.

Yeah, I know, but a good lawyer would bring in a statistician to court, if J. Cochran sues, as he threatened before, and rip J. Cochran a new bunghole.
Aside from racing and pool(billiards), football is the only one I watch, if they ever start this b.s., I'm gone.

Cochran is black and he represents those who haven't been given a fair chance by society. (so he says) He'd be hard to beat in any subject involving race.

O.K.- A good statistician would rip up whomever J. Cochran used as a witness.
Haven't been given a chance? Yeah, like 30 years ago.
Today's aafirmative action is not about equality, it is about holding power, and the threat of power to make others do what you want.
J. Jackson threatens to cry racism to get corporation to pay him, if he tried it with me, Sure, I'd pay. I'd also go to Africa, show rebels a picture of him with the dictator of the country, drop a million, J. Jackson would then cease to exist, shortly thereafter.
Screw with me, I will screw you back!

Re: Was his comment racist???

Which is precisely when a black quarterback with promise arrives, the media throws all their eggs in his basket...Exhibit A: Daunte

Don't get all pissy just because Warren Moon sucked and was a wife beater!!! [/quote]

Why is it whitey gets all up in arms when someone non white gets shine....When it was all whitey all the time no complaints.....Now yall feeling the way us so-called minorities have felt for many many years

Seriously though, I dont find Rush's comments racist in the truest sence of the word. I think sometimes racism is used too quckly anytime a white person says anything about a non white. Its a double standard. He wasnt saying anything negative about black people, just stating the facts on how the media hyped McNabb because black athletes are the darling of the media now. Wasnt always the case....If anything the media should be mad cause he thinks there that shallow Rushs comments are not on the same level as Jimmy the Geek...

They've hyped white folk too that have flopped....Remember Kevin Elster for one??? The all american shortstop that was supposed to save the Mets...Shawn Bradley, Dan Marjle, Donny Lalond, Gerry Cooney, Tommy Morrison on and on......We all called em the great white hopes...

BTW you so-called sports historians forgot about
Doug Williams...He was only the lone Black QB to ever win a Superbowl....So its been done...Michael Vick will be the second :thumb: At least way before McNabb..

You're missing the point...The media hyped McNabb because they want a black quarterback to succeed...I have no problem with that...But if said quaterback sucks, then how is it racist to point this out...Same thing happened up here with Daunte Culpepper...the media hyped him up as the "great black hope" and for his first two years...he sucked...The media doesn't "hype" white quarterbacks, because they want them to succeed...

And you say Rush is wrong for pointing out the Liberal media's flaw??? ARE YOU THIS NARROWMINDED!?!
And the same thing happened in St.Louis with their Black Quarterback, hell the Sportcasters were saying how great he was gona bee as the asshole was throwing interception after interception. Most blacks would say he was picked on because he was black, when something bad was said about him. I do think that the (Liberal) Media does now favorite the minorities, even when they don't deserve it. I really don't care what your color or race is, as long as it is an equal playing field to all. I have seen to many of all races over come all obstacles and become Millionaires, Statesmen/women,etc. Excuses are for the Lame.

Re: Was his comment racist???

1.) No, it was not a racist comment. He was just stating his opinion of how 'he thinks' the media treats black QB's in the NFL. Big freak'in deal. When did everyone get so sensitive? Is he right? I don't know, but being from Pittsburgh, I can tell you Kordell Stewart sucked for 95% of his career in Pittsburgh. Terrible QB. Meanwhile, he was getting mega-media and doing commercials. Thank God Chicago took him off our hands. Did they win a game yet this year? Fools.... The only reason Pittsburgh had some decent seasons with Stewart was our extremely dominant defense, good running game (the Bus Jerome Bettis), and a weak division that always allowed us to advance to the playoffs. Thank you Cincinatti and Cleveland.

2.) Was this ever the case with a white dude. Hell ya! Many black basketball players (I think Charles Barkley was one, but not sure) and other black people in the media commented on how OVERRATED Larry Bird was, and the attention was only given because he was white. Which anyone who looks at Bird's career knows is total BS. Arguable one of the best ever... Did he get a more media for being white? Absolutely. Why? Because a white superstar in the NBA was/is rare. Is there anything wrong with this? I don't think so.... Tiger Woods gets the same treatment. It's all about money.... Just trying to get as many people interested in the sport as possible. The Williams sisters have a similar situation in Pro Tenis. And the Kletcnokov (sp?) brothers have the same situation in Boxing. Rare commodities, all of them. Business as usual.

*** People need to grow a set a nuts, and quit acting like little bitches... The reality is, there has never been a elite level black QB in the NFL, that I can think of.... Personally, I think Steve McNair is by far the best black QB in the NFL (ever), but falls 'just' short of being considered elite. The people that make money on football are licking there lips, waiting for this elite black QB that will lead his team to superbowl victories. Will it happen? Of course. But sometimes the media gets a little anxious to make an average QB a superstar, because they want that big payday.... All about the Benjamins.....

Gerald's incapable of being able to look at a subject from both sides. As I said I didn't feel the comment was racist; however, I could see where some people might think of it as such. It's that unwillingness to even consider others perspective that limits his growth beyond just a GOP neoconservative drone.

Perception is a dangerous tool, used by people to twist and maul the truth. Or it is an innocent mistake. Either way, once done, you cannot pull the ginie back in the bottle. That's the problem of dealing with a closed mind. It has one track,

I have my opinion and I voice it...This takes all of two seconds, because I am firm in my political and social beliefs...

MP takes no side of any issue...which reveals he is incapable of forming his own opinion...for fear of being ridiculed, should his opinion prove to be unpopular...And in the remote instance that he does take a stand, the very second his opinion is deemed unpopular...he flip flops...For example: In his first post, he says "I don't know if it was racist..." He damn well knew it wasn't...but he was gauging popular opinion, prior to jumpin on the band wagon...

Liberals portray sound moral principles as being "narrow minded"...as an attempt to justify their own lack thereof...

Actually, if you read what I wrote you'll see I expressed my opinion quite clearly. I simply suggested that I could understand how others might disagree with me.

Too bad Gerald is too arrogant to even consider the possibilities.

I was gonna post, but essentially that'd repeat MP's last 2 posts. No it's not racist IMO, but it's leading.

SB: when it's a gray area, it's ok not to have an opinion right away. It's wiser that jumping to conclusions. I've seen you make a fool of yourself doing just that.
