I have always wondered how people can pronounce Favre by putting the r before the v. I am serious about this. Never have been able to get an anwer. Got any ideas?
Actually......the perception that has ALWAYS been given by the media about black QB's in the NFL is that they are not and never will be smart enough for the position. The perception was that they weren't intelligent enough to read the defenses & figure out what the defenses were trying to do in "enough time" to call the proper audible. The perception was also that black QB's in the NFL had trouble throwing timing routes. The media has never had anything bad to say about the athleticism of the black QB it was always the mental of the black QB.
I 100% agree with what you just said. And I think that is precisely why the media over-glams it when a black QB arrives that could finally squash that perception. Maybe it was just my perception that McNabb was being hyped, but let me tell you, when I was home and watched Philly news every night, that guy was heralded as like the second coming of christ to that city.

Favre is a pure athlete dude. I just love to watch him play the game (win or lose). He's one of the best we have right now. That's just my personal opinion. I know Warren. Herschel Johnson, one of my oldest friends to date, trained him for a year. Warren has an INCREDIBLE arm man. We all use to go outside the gym and throw the football around. He threw me a pass once, I had to have been a good 40 yds away, and it actually hurt my hands! Literally! I had it in my hand for a second and dropped it. Now would any NFL QB have done the same thing? I don't know, he's the only NFL player I know, but he's got a gun. I'm not gonna say anything bad about the guy. Wife beater etc.... No they don't...Feeble attempts to make something outa nothing, that usually results in a freakin defensive tackle intercepting the "lateral" and returning it 80 plus yards for a touchdown...

All those QB's int the NFL have got guns. Before all the Saints games, Brooks just airs one out. He throws it 70+ yards, easy. Freaks of nature those guys are. I LOVE throwing footballs around, and I have alot of respect for those guys that can throw a football that freaking far.
I have only thrown with one guy that had the power of what you are talking about Trey. This guy throws nothing but PERFECT spirals, and if you are less than 40 yards from the guy, he can throw it to where you can't catch it, no matter how hard you try.
