CAR COVERS FOR YOUR VIPER?

How do you guys feel about car covers on your Viper? If you use them that is. I always thought they ruined your paint over time. Is that true?

I still have mine - hope to use it again (soon). I swear by them as they help keep any dust off the car while in the garage. About the paint, I think you are referring to the front end covers (bras) which should never be allowed to stay on while wet. As for long term non-wet use, I'm not sure but would think the lack of light might cause some problems over long periods of use.

mopar is the best for the Viper. If your car has a decent coat of wax on it it shouldn't hurt your paint.

I have the mopar cover, and only use it if I plan on leaving my car idle for a period of time. I dont see how it can hurt your paint if its sitting in a garage. I wouldnt be suprised if it hurt your paint outside though. Under the sun the paint would get softer with the heat and scratch more easily from the cover (im guessing) and the wind would constantly having it rubbing up against hte paint.

This is a good question. I kept a good cover on my vette for the last 6 years. It was blue when I bought it and now it is almost white. I can see the difference between the blue bag that comes with the cover (which is still the original blue) and the cover itself. The sun can really beat down on a car I assume. Mopar cover eh? Cool.
