Just got home from the event. Results...... not good. Roadcourse results, Viper dead last of the cars that finished. 1/4 mile, Viper reported to be in the 12's. Skyline exploded motor on the road course. Parts thru the pan and scattered all over the track. Gross display of HP I think the Viper won. Paulo did a great job in the gross display of HP, completly shredded both rear tires. I think over all Viper will get 2nd or third place. Pics to follow.

Dead last in the road course? 1/4 mile in the 12's? WHAT! No matter what the final outcome is, and I hope Paolo wins the whole thing, he gets my lifetime acheivment award for turning off the motor and coasting downhill on the fuel economy test - 28 mpg!
As for the granny test, here is my innovative solution for next year: Put a bottle of medical grade NOS in the back of the car and plumb it into the passenger ac vent, then hit the purge button til granny smiles a lot (but does not pass out), the quickly get here out of the car for her report on how nice your Viper is!
Dead last on the road course? That's ridiculous for a Viper. Did we all not forecast this? We all told him to get Dearing, Mumford, or Messley to roll it around.
12s? Shit thats got to be wrong. Granny shifting the car in street tires would net you a mid ten sec 1/4 at high 140's. Used to run high 11's when my viper was stock. I tried to call Paolo twice tonight, but hes not answering his damned phone!!! We want an update!!
With the power that Paolo's car is putting out, it must be like driving
on ice glazed roads. That, and the anxiety, aren't a good combination for
quickness.
Paolo's making way too much power to be on radials, Hp is probably right in assuming "like driving on ice glazed roads". Hey look at the bright side, he got to see the internals of a Skyline
I'm going to venture a guess and say that with that much power he probably couldnt keep the car on the track... with only 5 laps of competition there really isnt any room for error...
I know absolutely nothing about superchargers so here goes ....deep breath....
Couldn't he have de-tuned the car a bit for the day of the road course? Or is that even possible.
with a supercharged car he would have to change a pully, and i'm sure thats against the rules.. in a turbo car you can just turn down the boost with a boost controller..
Just came form the .org...its a 12.5 @ 150....150 is ridiculous speed for that kind of et....Obviously its severely traction limited....Heard the 350Z won...Viper came in 5th...Oh well theres always next year...Props to Paolo for the effort and time he put into to it....
I heard the best time on the 1/4 between the Skyline, Viper, and TT Supra was 12.1. Paolo had an insane trap speed of 150mph. I believe this is the fastest non-nitrous assisted trap speed for any viper...period. Supposedly the "track" was not well prepped, and there was even sand/gravel on the track. No one laid down a good ET, but that trap was insane.
Viperalley's all I ever come to. So I wasnt sure of what org was. After searching through other threads I found VCA, and there it was!. Thanks anyways. :thumb:
To say the R32 doesn't look like much is an understatement. That car is sooo ugly I bet it blew itself up just to put itself out of its misery. HP/Liter, who gives a pluck. That's some term you ricer boys developed. It's analogous to some 120 weakling guy saying he has a 4 inch penis but even though some 260 pound guy has a 8 inch penis the ricer boy still has more penis per pound. I always hear you ricer boys saying stuff like the Viper has 488 CI and only gets X HP, I'm not impressed. Well at least the Vipers don't blow up now do they. That's what happens when you try to push a lot of horsepower through some import engine that wasn't meant to take it. Go have a circle jerk around your mighty Nissan Skyline with your ricer buddies then and be done with it. And don't start saying there are all these 1,000 hp 6 cylinder Supras out there that are bullet proof and yadda yadda yadda.
How did this whole love affair with these import crap cars start anyways? Did all you rice boys parents drive Honda Civics or something when you were young and then they handed it down to you when you turned 16. Inquiring minds want to know.
