Oooh Oooh, read Customers for Life by Carl Sewell! It was a textbook in one of my marketing classes in college. It gives you great insight into selling and customer service in the automotive industry. Fairly short, fun to read, and I work for the guy.
I used to teach sales. The only thing I got out of that experience is that the ability to "sell" can not be taught. Either people have a knack for it or they dont. The best sales people never seem like sales people at all. They come off as your best friend. When you walk out of a sales floor and you think "I dont think that guy was on commission" but you bought something or have the intention of coming back to buy it, he was a good sales person. But if he was a really good sales person, youre walking out the owner of something you didnt have before.

I'm in an automotive marketing program at college. After I'm done my 3 years here I'm going to university to get a degree so that I am more attractive to the corporations. Going that way will make it easier for me to get a corporate job. A job in product development would kick ass.
Thanks Big Carrot! I'm just gonna make sure that one will suffice then I'll order it, seems like a good read.
