Yes, I finally got the RT out this weekend - was great to hear the loud sound of that again... Anyways, I have a front license plate frome from Woodhouse - with the little suction cups... Well, evidently it fell off when I was cruising on Saturday :doh:
Can't believe I didn't hear it or anything...
Anyways, the copers have my plate - left me a voicemail and asked me to come down and claim my prize... I think I'll take the Durango so they don't get any wise ideas...

Yeah, me too. I guess I'll take the consolation that at least when I did recieve a ticket in my Viper the cop didn't even flinch about it not having it's front plate. He knew he was already getting a tidey sum from me anyway I'm sure.
When I got pulled over I made sure to pull up way to the front of the parking lot I stopped in- didn't give him a chance to walk around the front of the car :thumb:
I did get a $99 ticket last year for not having a front plate - no hassles from either car this year... Typically don't have the plates on - hence why I never noticed it was missing...
I keep mine in the hatch attached to the frame. If they try to write me up I'll just say "It got pulled off yesterday when some idiot backed into me and I haven't had a chance to put it back on", or something like that. Might not work, but I hate having the front plate on.
Agreed - but I just don't want to invite a cop to pull me over for any reason... Cause more than likely he'll find somethign else to write me up for...

Actually I just recalled that I DID get pulled over for not having the front plate. It was September 15th, 2001 (the weekend just after 9/11). I got pulled over at gunpoint entering the Manhattan side of the Midtown Tunnel (going out to Queens). 2 National Guard troopers(?) decided I needed to be repremanded about not having a front plate. I had to get out of the car and have it inspected and was allowed to leave with a "don't let me see you without a front plate again" warning. To tell the truth, I was scared as hell...but it was PLENTY of overkill and I did it again the next day without incident. [img]/images/graemlins/flip2.gif[/img]
