You can make a 96+ RT/10 yourself. For my 96 RT/10 model (which no one makes correctly), I took a 1:18th RT/10 (sidepipe) and a 1:18th 97 GTS.
If you have a nada duct RT, take the following from the GTS:
Engine/Trans
Exhaust (will need cut)
Hood
Interior (most of them have the gen1 interior anyway, so all of them are wrong. But if it is right, pull it)
Roof section
Wheels
Fascia (should be removeable, if not you will have to mold the lower lip)
If you have a smooth hood like I did, I kept the RT/10's hood. Cut the roof off the GTS at the windshield piller and rear quarters. This will make your hardtop.
Remove the RT/10's wheels, engine, glass and interior. Strip the paint from the RT/10 and GTS parts. Prime the RT/10 body shell. Using putty, smooth in the side pipes, sculpting in the "bulge" in the sills. You CAN cut the sills off the GTS and JB Weld them to the RT/10, but the makers were different and it would not have looked right on mine.
For the rear exit exhaust, you will have to cut down the one from the GTS to fit on the RT/10. Use your best judgement. It will be visable if you turn the car over, but will look very good on the model from the outside.
Test fit the hood to make sure it lines up right. The engine is trival, but may be worth the swap if you have the same maker for both models. Test fit only. Same goes for the interior. Paint it if you need color other than black.
Once you are happy with the side sills, paint body shell, hood, doors and hard top in your automotive color of choice. I used OEM dodge viper white for my car, to make it look authentic. I also painted the GTS wheels white to match the body. Bake the metal parts in the oven for a bit on a low temp to speed curing. Apply stripes if you wish. I used some thin teflton style tape from a hoby store. It's sold in different thicknesses. It would be very hard to mask off and get the "saber" stripes right with paint, so I used the tape. It is easily curved and cut to make a good fit (feels like tape used to mask pinstripes/details on auto paint work).
Once I was happy with the stripes, clear was applied to the entire car and buffed with dremel. Car was the re-assembled.
For the hard top, I painted the underside black and added some fabric attached with 3M adhesive sprey.
Overall, it looks dead on AWESOME. If you want, I can build you your RT/10. Just pay for the supplies and doner models

Think again my friend, as I have over 1,000 cars as of now. And this is after I had just sold close to 500 of them. I buy and sell, then buy more and sell. Problem is I always buy more then I end up selling. I am sick.....

I will dig out the box and get back to you with the details on it. Then we can talk $ for it. Sound OK to you?
Nightstalker, will be waiting on pics. :thumb:
I need to find someone who can make custom cases and displays for me. I don't have the room anymore to do woodworking.

Cool man. Seriously, if you want to keep it I won't keep bugging ya Just giving you a hard time about it punk
Looks like they did a nice job on the model. Thanks for the link, now I have somewhere else to shop and spend more money. What other ones did you get? I like that idea with the base, good thinking on their part.
On to the real car, I just can't seem to get into it in yellow though. Black is hot, red is ok, silver I can't stand, and yellow is so so to me. Black just seems to set off the lines that look good and hide those that do not. After seeing them in person(minus yellow) this is what really stood out to me.
MM, give me some time and I will get out the model. I just packed it away after moving stuff from one house to the other and it is "safely" stored. Meaning I have to move everything again to get to it.
