fair price on a stock 99 GTS with around 20k-30k miles on it. I have been saving up for about a year now, and thinking of jus trying out woodhouse dodge, as i cant seem to trust any "deal" i find. Also any tips or advice u can give me would really be appreciatied.
went 11.24 on nittos, rob is a real cool guy, ive bought a bunchh of stuff from him
thanx mattl, i read up on this ad a week or so ago. its not quite what im looking for, and the price is definately above what im willing to spend on a 99. There is a 2002 yellow with black stripes GTS with 4300 miles for 58k obo in houston. Thought this was a killer deal.
so far i have "mid forties" "high forties" and "low forties" But seriously i do appreciate the advise.
are we being biased?? jus kidding. Ur car car is way sweet.
SB: i would love an acr if i could get my grubbly lil hands on one for the right price. i plan on putting down about 70% and financing the rest, to be honest, im poor, and am in colledge, but i have busted my azz and saved about 30k to put down, so i would like not to go over more than 50k as i dont stretch my budget to thin. 50k is thin enough.
I want the 99 for the forged pistons and lopey cam as well as the updated wheels and interior, best year viper , imho
also i have never financed a car and to say that im a little nervous is an understatement. I always beleived in jus paying cash for cars. But I HAVE to get a GTS and i dont have all the dinero up front.
I got rid of my 98 back in 2001, and at that time I got $72k for it. It was bone stock. And yes I was ecstatic At the time, 98's were selling for right around $50k, maybe low 50's. 6 mo later my friend got $52k for his 00 GTS with 15k miles or so.
I would say mid 40's is where you want to be. Anything high 40's better have a nice color combo, very low miles, or something special about it.
I have heard (and I belive) there is about a 3k difference between years. So if you can get a "great deal" on a 02 for $52k, a 3 year older car with a similar deal would be 9k less - $43k. I would say $42-43k for a 99 would be almost as good a deal as the 02 for $52k.
I wouldn't pay more than $46k for a 99 GTS with relatively low miles (not 30k anyway) and a good color combo. Any mods are nice, but they don't contribute to the value of the car unless it's a high dollar tuner package, and even then the package might return 50% of it's purchase price on a good day!>
man, i like this Tito guy. A class act with his head on straight, unlike the Avi character. good luck with your hunt, it's your money
thanx bro, you've been cool to me from the get go. Ok ok, i better stop, i dont want King GTS taking that the wrong way and lecturing me about homosexuality. j/k
I have always wanted a GTS, I had a Cobra (what a piece-o-crap), head-n-cam-n-nitrous C5, so i figured if i get away from hot-rods, and jus buy a beater and save my dough for a while, i could get the car i really want. And here i am, asking mundane questions, but i gotta learn somewhere and this place seems right for me to ask.
thankx for the info SRT Mike, ur an informative mamajama :thumb:
SB : i have a beater, a 94 Acura Legend 4-door, beige, it makes me look older, more sophisticated
