Right after I got of the phone with blondie yesterday it started to rain lightly.

Why should I not have been shocked as the weather always seems to screw up my race weekends.
The Pro's were to start at about 3:30pm and were delayed until about 9pm when the Pro Stock Bikes went out for the first time. Mind you I did get to see lots of Sportsman racing but was really waiting for the Pro's like everyone else was.
Well under the lights and in cool temps(upper 60's) we were waiting for some numbers to be thrown up. Even with some humidity (70% plus) we did see Tony Schumacher in the U.S. Army Dragster smoke one off at 4.465 @ 328.78mph That thing just shot flames from the headers way up towards the sky and hauled ass to the finish line.
We all saw the quickest Top Fuel run in history once, once again at Maple Grove Raceway. One of the reasons I go ever year no matter what it takes.
But this weekend just took a turn for the worse. The rains have moved in and I have not even left for the track yet today. I am tired seeing how last nights qualifying did not end until a little after midnight and I did not get home until after 3am.
Woke up this morning at 5 and was ready to leave but the rains have given me some time to relax before I hit the road, for what will be a hell of alot longer ride now with all the sissies on the road in the rain. :bawling:
Forecast does not look good for today and I have no idea what they will do for the finals tomorrow as they have only run one Pro qualifying session at this time. The next off weekend where they could run it we could just have to deal with some real colds temps, as in maybe even snow temps.
Damn..........
