Number of posts required.....

Right now a person needs 25 posts to rate a user. I've received a PM from someone suggesting we should lower this as it prevents "lurkers" from rating people. Some people dont want to be "post whores", but are forum regulars.

So, the question is: at which point to we let people Vote and Rate?

We require 10 posts to Vote.
We require 25 posts to Rate.

Should we consider different values?

I'd rather have the number raised, rather than lowered. It wouldn't take but a day to get 25 posts on this board, then the person has the ability to start shitting on people's ratings and having their vote count on polls? I could understand the low post count when we first started, as decisions needed to be made and we were all "Newbies" in terms of our post count. But to be a true member and have voting rights should take a ]while to acheive. I'm not sayig their should be an "elitist" group, but someone should be on the board longer than a day or two to start having their opinion count.
