I hear nothing on the news - I hear nothing in regards to remembering... Why, if this is the so-called worst tragedy that the US has faced, am I not hearing more about 9/11 and I am pretty in the heart of where it happened...
Not on the news - not on anything...
Don't you find that interesting...
I will be up in front tomorrow on my flight - and I hope to god not many ragheads are flying tomorrow - I will be keeping a close eye on them... And yes, I am grouping them all into one category - until one of them steps up to denounce what they have done - I will judge them all equally... I have not been given a reason not to...
And King - I will make sure to flush the toilet as we lift off over Hillary's house...
I do. I've been trying to find a theme for tomorrow, but not having much luck. I was hoping to find some graphic listing all the names of the people lost on that horrible day to use as a background for remberence, but I cant find anything.
I did find a site that lists all the victims names and I may post that list, but was hoping to find some layout that would pay our respects.
until one of them steps up to denounce what they have done
Ha! They have an interesting way of denouncing the acts of terrorists...
"Islam is a peaceful, loving religion. We love our brothers and sisters and do not condone the acts of the terrorists....but what were we to do? Those capitalist American pigs had it coming to them. Die America!...but we denounce the acts of the terrorists."
I watched it last year and I will watch it again tomorrow.
from the back cover of the dvd...
On the morning of September 11, 2001, brothers Jules and Gedeon Naudet were working on a documentary about a rookie New York City firefighter. Hearing a roar in the sky, Jules turned his camera upward--just in time to film the only existing image of the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center. In a fateful instant, Jules and Gedeon became eyewitnesses to the most shocking and defining incident of our time.
There was an excellent documentary on PBS on Monday night about the planning, building, and end of the WTC. I learned the jet fuel completely burned itself out in 3 minutes but it set the paper in the building on fire andit burned long enough to weaken the structual steel and that's what caused to towers to come tumbling down.
It was the last part of a series on New York City by Rick Burns.
