Study finds US workers most productive (sortof)...

Having worked in the EU for many years and managing large projects - I simply do not believe the article below - but thought I would post it anyways:

US workers are the world's most productive, but they put in more hours than Europeans to score higher, according to a study released Monday by the United Nations labor agency. Workers in France, Belgium and Norway beat the Americans in productivity per hour, the International Labor Organization said. The output per US worker last year was $60,728, the report said. Beligium, the highest-scoring European Union member, had an output of $54,333 per worker.



I'll let you guys run with it from here - just was quite shocked having been in these countries for years, and seeing just the opposite. As a matter of fact, the productivity issues were so common, client management often wanted more of the US people to come over because of their "hard and determined work ethics"...

As I commented in another post today, when Ford took over Land Rover a few years ago they found that Land Rover used around 3X the number of workers Ford used to do the same type of work. The same goes for other factories Ford and GM have outside of the US. I don't buy the more output per hour crap that this article states.
