This was the worst VMA I have ever watched... All freak'in BS. Oh great, another R&B, bubble gum pop, or rap act. I don't mind listening to these styles of music, or gett'in my swurve on at the club, but watching them perform live is the equivalent to watching grass grow. Without Chris Rock, I would have turned the shit off.... Remember when good bands used the rock at the VMA’s? Chilli Peppers? Nirvana? Etc… OK, Metallica did end the show, but come on…. Half there act was a cover song tribute. Am I just getting too old, or do I have a legitimate gripe? Personally, I think MTV lost is edge years ago... Oh, but wait, the Madona/Brittney/Christina kiss... Give me a break... MTV has to resort to that BS publicity stunt, because the rest of the show blows... MTV [img]/images/graemlins/flip2.gif[/img]

Lost it's appeal when the vids from Led Zep, the Who, Pat B, went off.
MTV lost it's appeal to me when Pat Benatar came on. VJ Martha what's-her-name was the anti-christ that started the downturn. That channel kicked ass for about 2-3 years when it first started. Devo to The Who to Danny Joe Brown (Molly Hatchet) made that channel rock!
To me MTV sucks ass! They play nothing but rap videos. They might as well change the name to BMTV. Im not racist, I just think all of thier rap BS is just annoying and getting VERY old. Is it just me or did anyone else notice that every performance was rap and every presenter was a rap artist?
