There's something not right about that picture. Those are Indian Sikhs, not Islamic types. Sikhs don't have any issue with us at all. I'm wondering if that picture is faked.
I'm glad you think so. The context just isn't right. Somebody who didn't know their "towelheads" grabbed the wrong group portrait to put behind that godawful sand-castle. No doubt some real group of shit-eating Islamic Arabs are responsible but it's not fair to blame those Sikhs.
On a reltated note 19 pakastanis were arrested in toronto today because they are alleged terrorists. The police intercepted some emails from them that were going directly to al queda. That and their apartment only had computers in it, no furniture at all. The police were called on them after they tried to get by security to gain access to a beach that was part of a nuclear powerplant's property. Fucking morons.

Sikhs are not exactly fans of the muslim faith. They defended punjab from the muslim warriors when islam spread east from mecka. According to legend the oldest boy in every family has to devote his life to defend punjab from the muslims (at least thats what an indian, non-sikh, friend told me). Those on the pic are clearly sikhs.
too bad for them, i heard that a bunch of sikhs got harrassed after 9/11 by people who tought they where muslims. In nevada (out in the black rock desert) there is a a small country gas station run by a sikh family, they had to stop wearing their turban after 9/11 because they where getting afraid of being harassed (my buddy lives out there and i always stop by to get gas at that station).

Yeah, Sikhs are good guys. A real independent warrior tribe. I have a Sikh neighbor who lives about five houses down. Right after 9/11 he put all sorts of patriotic bumper stickers on his truck ... He was clearly afraid of misdirected anti-Muslim wrath. I hadn't met him but I'd seen him around and knew he was a Sikh from his appearance (they have a distinct turban and non-Arabic features). One day when he was out I went over and introduced myself and welcomed him to the neighborhood. Didn't want him feeling like his own neighbors were down on him. Nice dude too.

I didn't know that. Don't toy with me now, you know how earnestly I take this subject. If you're wrong and I show up on his door with a neighbor's pet all fricasseed and garnished as a housewarming gift, I'm gonna be right pissed.
OK, well not all that pissed. I mean I suppose I can endure the shrieking and 911 dialing by yet another neighborhood family ... I've been through it before, I can take it again. I'll just trudge on back home with my sadly cooling roasted poodle and maybe give one of the drumsticks a trial gnaw. Who knows, I might develop a taste for it?
