Recently battlebot ATTEMPTED to intrude on someone's personal life by trying to get them fired through contacting their supposed employer. Activities such as this geared at harming an individual is GOING WAY TOO FAR IMO. Going after someone's livlihood because of internet bullshit is WAY OUT OF LINE and downright psychotic. I make a motion for this TYPE of activity to constute IMMEDIATE banning without the need for a poll. Just three moderators consenting and some sort of IP address verification should be sufficient. We should have ZERO tolerance for this type of vindictive harmful behavior. Any seconds?

I agree...as long as there is indisputable proof of the identity of the offending psychotic. Without such proof, I would vote to have a banning go through the "regular" process.
I'm not sure. I am on the fence on this one. While craigs experience illustrates a behaviour that warrants a ban, i don't see that insta-ban prevents this from happening or in general affects the members.
Does the current system really needs to be fixed? This will leave all the power in the three mods hands and the bannee has no say whatsoever in the matter?
The current system at least lets both sides argue their case for a period of time and as evidenced in the battlbot scenario, that worked out pretty well?
I don't think it is necessary.
This all started yesterday morning and Battlebot was judiciously and democratically banned by the late afternoon. No point in changing the rules for more serious offenses when said offenses pretty much get dealt with quite swiftly as it is.
