Getting to be a REAL interesting season! The story goes that Bridgestone and Ferrari worked so closely that the whole suspension on the Ferrari is setup around the tires. Meaning that Bridgestone *can't* keep up with Michelin because doing so would require a re-design of the whole Ferrari.
I'm real happy for Alonso - it goes to show how quickly things can change in F1. Last year people bitched and moaned about how it was just a parade. This year, McLaren and Ferrari started strong, Williams was lagging big time. Now Williams is on top, Ferrari is seriously lagging, and McLaren is still in the same general position.
It's going to be an interesting year. As much as we talk about drivers, it's the manufacturers that are really competing. BMW is on top, Ferrari is in 2nd. I would *love* to see Kimi win the championship, or JPM - either would be great. I'm also very happy that MS is very adamant he will be back at Ferrari next year. There is nothing more interesting than seeing races where you never know what can happen. F1 has been *great* this year!
