My summer project...

Well, it actually started last summer... Joined two decks - one on each side of the back of the house... Then over the winter - with Phase I of VI out of the way - I started getting a little crazy... Looks great though - they are flooring Phases three and four right now - and she is a bigon... Total - will be about 2,300 square feet with 5 different levels down to the pool...

I designed it carefully so there will be a seperate section for a Gazebo, etc... I also have a couple Pegolas being put in place - as well as a level with a fire pit...

All of the benches are build into the deck with coffee tables, etc... - and last but not least - I have a seperate one that has the grill built in and an insulated spot where a keg can be kept... [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

I'll be posting pictures soon - want to wait until after next week when the next portion should be done - then it should all be there - just not trimmed, etc... Anyways, very excited to finally having this thing get completed - you know construction people... Stopped by over lunch today and they were ripping all the shrubs out of the front and taking a huge ass tree that was dead out of the far back yard behind the fences...

Anyone need decking done - this guy travels - he is currently building one of my people a house in Equador... He does awesome work - but you have to be there every once in a while to kick him in the ass and tell him he is behind schedule... (he hand planes everything - just a very thourough worker...)

Kinda off topic.........but what have you done down in Ecuador??? I lived in Quito off and on for about a year developing and installing a 115MW barge mounted power plant in Guayaquil.

I haven't done anything - my VP of Operations purchased two plots down there about a year ago - and now this guy, her hand-man, and mine I guess now as well, to develop it...

We have no projects down there - and I have never been there... She flies down there about 4 times a year - and he handy-man is down there the entire winter working on it...

He asked about it - but it was dark and several of us were waiting for the firends wifie to strip naked and jump in the pool - so I don't think anyone noticed the deck construction... [img]/images/graemlins/supergrin.gif[/img]

Par is back in Minneapolis next week I believe - I'm sure there will be more stories coming... Par - you managed to forget posting about going close 100mph in SB's car after I left (in a 35!)... Ps - you also have to test drive that ACR with the new rotors and post your thoughts on here...
