The C5-R was running on some bare ass tires too. The Ferrari was making SOME ground on him. That was some awesome driving by both drivers in the Ferrari and the C5-R
that's a panoz. Mosport is a 20 minute drive from my house. I wanted to go but the prices are getting crazy. Sunday race day used to be $25 now it's $50 Fuck that.

I see your point there, but for whatever reason dodge doesnt sponsor the ALMS, I would be willing to bet money is the deciding factor. I dont know if this situation occurs in Canada much, but down here, you see dodge vehicles with dodge stickers out the wafuckingzoo of all the nascar dodge drivers. It's the same with the other manufacturers too. These rednecks fall in love with a brand because of a driver or for whatever reason, and they stick to it forever. I'd be willing to bet all the repo'd vehicles dont add up to a tenth of what Dodge is making off their NASCAR sponsorships.
I knwo I'm just bitter. It is a $$ thing I understand that, I just think that the ALMS effort would be a drop in the bucket and still carry the Dodge flag in a type of racing with at least a shred of class. Your average nascar fan is a hilbilly who can't even tie his own shoes. Simpliest racing for the simplest folk, always has been always will be. I fucking hate nascar so much if I were bill gates I would buy up all the tracks just so they couldn't race. I'm dead serious I hate it that much. Hell the fans are too stupid to realize that the cars they cheer for don't even represent the stock street cars and that none of the benefits that come by the way of racing trickle down into their shitty base model.

there is a privateer team but they are heavily underfunded and suffer the handicaps that the GTS-R's had when ORECA was driving the GTS-R's It's too bad chevy waited to damn long to get into the game. There was only 1 good year of competition between the two, it's a good thing Prodrive has come into the scene with the Ferrari or it would suck to watch.
It would be nice to see some comp coupes becoming competitive. That is such a sweet car! Did you guys see the Saleen? They were talking smack about the guy the whole time!
