Anyone know what cruiser bikes are the fastest?
I am looking into buying another cruiser style bike. They are a blast because they are so simple to ride you can let anyone ride them.

I want a fast one but not an axpensive one.

So far I am considering:
Kawasaki 1500 Valcon
Honda 1100 Shadow.
Susuki 1100 Maruder
Yamaha 1600 Virago
and a few others.

Sticking to mid 90s models.

Anyone know how I can find out which are the fastest in say the 1/8th mile?

Those are slow as shiat! They are like the Corvettes of the cruiser world.

TODAY, the fast bikes are the Harley V-Rod, Yamaha Warrior, Honda VTX. But those are all 2000+ models.

From the 90's, the Honda Magna V65 is a fast mofo (runs 11's or low low 12's). The Yamaha VMax is probably the fastest (they can get into the 10's). The Magna is supposed to be pretty quick (probably 12's though).

The 1100 Shadow is a D O G. That thing is the biggest PIG in the world - I bet it won't even run a 14! The Vulcan isn't much quicker. Dunno about the Virago or Marauder - I heard the Marauder was slow for it's hype about how fast it would be.

Dude, get a VMax. Not only is it fast but it looks badass too. Get a 1994 model (yellow) or the 98 black. Then you will actually own something FAST!

They may be cool but they are SLLLLOOOOOWW. They will get taken out EASILY by a Vette, even!

My VTX is pretty snappy. It has about 120lb-ft of torque at the wheel, so it moves pretty well. It runs 11's without too much trouble, and I can take out my buddy's H+C Vette without much trouble.

The Habayoosta is a fast bike, but it's late 90's and it's a sportbike. The thing handles about as good as a 84 Cadillac though. The best bang out there now is the Gixxer 1k, but too bad it's fugly - almost as fugly as the Happymoosa.

The VMax is the one to get.

It is located in the center saddle bag. Small unit, but powerful. It will cook a potato in 15 minutes.

The first time I rode a Goldwing I was amazed when the guy was telling me where the stereo controls were, and how to adjust the air vents for warm air if my hands got cold. This guy also had a GPS, cell phone, PDA, stereo, small electric ice cooler thing, and god knows what else on his bike. It was like a friggin RV with 2 wheels!
