no not really. Traffic was a mess. For some reason I left work early and still got stuck in it. I left at 4 and was hauling ass home when at 4:15 all the radio stations went out. At first I thought it was just my shitty car but I soon realized it was worse when I got off the highway about 50 miles east of my town because the highway was stopped solid. Every friggen traffic light was out and nobody could drive because they are asshats and this power outage gave them deer in the headlights effect. I finally get home in 2.5 hours of what should have taken me 50 minutes. I figured maybe it would last about 2-3 hours tops as these things never last long when they happen (smaller outages) When it first went out I thought that maybe something fucked up at our nuclear power plant and it was just the area around it that was out. I was pretty amazed to find it affected the number of cities it did. Anyways I came home and did pretty much fuck all.

NO work for me today. No way in hell am I making the drive to the city just to get told to go home. Tried to call in but our phone is not picking up and they're saying all over the news to just say home so I'll do just that.

I went and bought a case a beer from a bar, iced it down and chilled on the backporch with the neighbors last night.
Beat the hell outta workin' downtown like I was supposed to do.

Just got power back at 4:20pm in Brooklyn...My section was the last in Brooklyn to get it back...What a day I had. First off I had to go to work..I work for Con Ed so you know the questions I had to answer today. Even though it aint our fault we got the blame...Its funny we are the power company and we had no power to our station like everyone else. No fridge, vending machines phones etc...No backup generators wtf...Cheap ass company
