Unfortunately, the 500's don't fetch all that much dough in relation to the E-body buckboards, even thouth only about 350 (or so) 500's in total were built in 1969. If I had to guess, a pristine 440 powered 500 would fetch about $25-$30,000.00. However, there was a Hemi Charger 500 for sale at Carlisle last month with a price tag of $85,000.00. If I had to guess, the seller took it back home with him.
Was that the green one? It was pretty sweet. 500's have always been among my favorites.
Mark seems pretty close on his prices. $25-$35K for a 440 car depending on options. For some reason the Charger 500's never really took off in value like many of the other cars.
.....and the owner was a moron having the thinking he could get that much!!!!
BTW, did you notice the tail stripe on that car. The left quarter stripe was on the right & the right was on the left, making the stripe not straight across the tail!!!! :doh:
LOL NO I didn't notice that, I didn't have much time to do much more than glance at it I didn't even get to walk around the thing, I was too busy playing "shopkeeper" at our vendors spots.
