"Following his arrest, Buckley, who was earning $132,459 annually, was suspended with pay".....
Damn... on that salary, he could've bought a Viper.
If I am going to get in trouble for my mistakes I want to get suspended WITH pay. WTF. How is that a punishment. Uh don't bother coming to work but we will continue to pay you. Wonder if he will get payed to sit in prison?
Suspended with pay? Goooooood call NJ. Good call. Money being given to a man who killed someone from people he wrote tickets to before he did that.
I love how the lawyer says "this was not a crime". Going double the speed limit and killing a friend. Damn right that's not a crime, that's TWO crimes, minimum.
I understand making mistakes and being forgiven for them, but in order for that to happen you need to acknowledge some responsibility. Granted, I'll bet he's done that on his own and I don't know if he's apologized to the victim's family. But to have your lawyer trying to convince jurors you didn't commit a crime is just making you look like an idiotic asshole.
