A nation of sheep!

I am not sure how or when our great nation took such a nose dive. We are dumbing down and making a bunch of p88sies from adverturers and problem solvers.

When they set out to find a new land and decided to make a nation of our own with problem solvers and not just take the advise of one person. I doubt they could ever imagine fat, lazy, people would be lying around telling you what they are entitiled too.

Ahhh what it must be like to KNOW you know everything and as long as you follow those man made government warning labels we will all be just fine!

As you follow your heard afraid to break out and discover things on your own.... The guy in the clean pretty white room with the cool silver sharp looking objects is not there to give you free food and water..... But he will solve all of your problems!!!!!

I think my having two earths and you can pick your sheep and I will pick some people who want a chance to discover for themselves is just to complex for some people out there.

Lets try this --

Something happens that is life threatening, you see it, people are dying, and as you ponder.... Hmmm I don't see any warning signs, super man didn't drop out of the sky to save me..... Just remember you have the rest of your life to figure out if you want to follow the heard or just get off the tracks of an oncoming train.

People should be rewarded if they risked trying to attain a different status - and if they succeed...

Handing out trophies to everyone in order to not offend should be a crime...

They had a talent show and a field & track day at my son's elementary school. My son won several events but did not receive any recognition. When I ask the principal why- he said it was because he was concerned with the other kids' self esteem. I then ask him how are we going to stay competitive in the world when are children are being rewarded for mediocrity? And aren't you setting them up to fail college where it is competitive? And for that matter, why do you give grades?

It goes even younger than that. A friends child goes to a day care where they will not tell the child "no." How do you deal with 2 year olds if you can't use the word "no"? He comes home and is a mess because there is no structure and he can get away with anything all day. They are more concerned with offending some one than producing productive members of society.

My son's current daycare does not discipline children and will not give a kid a time out, no matter what he does. He is switching next week to one where they have no problem with the time out.

I once thought that the average American was fairly smart. I was young obviously. The more I see the more i despise where this county is going. Problem is I love this country and don't feel like leaving just to escape from the idiots. The less educated almost always seem to have more kids and that cylce will only grow. What can you do after it's gone so far? Kinda like trying to discipline a 16 year old after you have let them do anything all their life.

That's why it is up to you to make a very prominent (yet portable) scoreboard to take with you to every game. Keep the score and do it proudly. Make sure everybody knows the final score at the end of the game.

Horns, streamers and other incendiary devices for end-of-game celebrations are optional, yet highly encouraged.

Fuck bitching about this useless mass of population that is breeding, let's figure out a way to make money and take advantage off their stupidity and sense of entitlement. They can think more than a single step ahead so there is obviously plenty of room for smart people to plan and get ahead off of these idiots, and at the same time keep them thinking they are still getting the better end of the deal on things.

Think mortgage crisis, but without any government bail outs. Let the mindless drivel who are swayed into shit like that lose their asses while we profit from their gullability (which would normally be bad, but their gullability is generated by their own lack of responsibility, disinterest in doing things right, and refusal to work hard to get ahead).

Once the pendulum swings TOO far the smart people should be able to take quite a bit of advantage off to make up for how shitty these people have made society.

Bring back the good ole school days! I had a teacher in 4th grade that would sneak up behind you and grab your ear and lead you out of the classroom for a quick ass whoopin. She had one of those paddles that used to have a rubberband and ball attached. Though it was small, it was still impossible to walk back into class acting cool with a tear or two in your eye! Mrs. Augustine, thanks for the memories! BIIIIIIIIAAAAAACH!

I suspect that DISD implemented the new rule to accommodate the fast growing Hispanic population in Texas, specifically in Dallas County. This is to deter and reduce a high failure rate which will have a huge impact (reduced funding) for poor performing schools.

The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) is a joke. I'm glad that my sons attend a different school district.

My first grade teacher broke a student's nose. With a book. In front of the class. For not shutting up when he was told to do so. And she didn't lose her job.

I clearly remember thinking at the time "I'm really glad she finally found a way to make Ronnie Holt stop talking in class."

(This is a true story. Unlike many of my stories. And all of No Man's.)

A smart ass in my 5th grade class gave the teacher the figer behind his back - he whipped around, said, "give me that finger" - and bent it back till the kid cried...

Obviously noses and figers shouldn't be broke - but it gives you a reality check on how things have changed...
