My extremely long rant

After my first taste of the crude elixir (active ingredients: wit and smack) that is Viper Alley, I find myself still lurking a year later due to the ideas presented on this forum - many of which have stirred a paradigm shift within me.

Of recent note, I can thank VA for sparking my newfound interest in our political system. Until recently, hitting the clubs weekly and convincing the tight lil Latina’s I’d meet to grab my juicy boner and aim my warm sweet jism into their general hair or eye area was enough to preoccupy me to the point where I never cared to know what gears were turning politically outside of my reality in this country.

Now at 28, I’m largely ignorant and I find myself trying to play catch-up. So I committed myself and I just sat through Palin’s speech – all 45 minutes of it, courtesy of the RNC’s website. Prior to my late morning’s left over Filet o’ Fish value meal breakfast, I had no idea that there was even a RNC. Sad.

*** BTW – anybody thinking that Palin is hot needs to seriously, seriously get out more. It happens that I’m bangin a pretty hot 36 year old Milf right now (Milf’s are my forte) so I feel I can speak:

I get it – she’s a refreshing alternative to the usual authority figures in the system (i.e Hillary, nobama’s angry black woman wife, etc), and I’m not saying my meatstick would just dangle like a limp elbow macaroni in front of her if I woke up in the middle of the night with her hovering over my face - her meatflaps playfully tickling the tip of my nose... By virtue of her being the Governor of Alaska (ok, that doesn’t really count) and running for VP - I totally would ram my man-pole into her right-winged love box and paint her uterus white for the opportunity to mingle with that the upper echelon’s of our government.
Reality is she’s a decent looking (for mid 40’s) mother of 5. Think of this, if birthed naturally, her 5 held a large role in creating a stretch marked pole-pocket that can most likely easily accommodate: http://www.viperalley.com/forum/anyt...o-big-nws.html
Decent looking, but FAR from hot.

Anyways –with no alliance to any political party, here are my unbiased, unfiltered thoughts of the RNC and Palin’s speech:

She’s a great public speaker – but The Fanaticism that I witnessed during the convention was absolutely grotesque. The crowd was pumping their fists, waving signs and chanting her name - ending every single point she made by standing out of their seats and going bananas. To me, there were too many parallels drawn between the convention participants and religious fanatics and I was waiting for a couple of older ladies to get out their chairs and start shaking around and frothing at the mouth like they got hit by the holy ghost.

When making remarks about Obama’s policies, people boo’d. Holy shit! I wouln’t tolerate this behavior from a child. I felt like farting in all their mouths.

Is this behavior normal for a presidential campaign? How can people become so fanatical to the point of almost worshiping a person without knowing them personally? Were these republicans or Branch Davidian’s? Felt more like a congregation than a convention to me..

Also, I understand that the majority of the speech she gave was not only written before they even chose a VP by Scully – but rewritten after Palin was picked because the speech was seen as "too masculine"! (just one of many sources: (Putting Words in Palin's Mouth - PostPartisan - Quick takes by The Post's opinion writers)

Fuck me! Why are we so hooked on the speeches given by the presidential candidates, when the speeches are written by someone else!? How can people be dumb/blind/corrupt enough to be led by a system like this?

What if the teleprompters were to malfunction? Would she still deliver a great speech?

Why don’t we just hire the advisers & speechwriters to run the show and dump the political figure heads into the nearest meatgrinder?

It's becoming apparent to me that the candidates & elected officials are just Hollywood entertainers with intellegent and highly paid advisers & speechwriters – Entertainers in the same manner that Britney spears and the back street boys get credit for singing songs that they didn't write.

Is there a better way to govern then the current system then giving power to 2 major political establishments that obviously compete to the point where corruption forces us to embarrassingly pick a candidate that is “the lesser of the two evils”??? I'd like to hear some ideas.

Holy shit - Fuck me... I’m thinking for running for office next term, fuck this bullshit. If I was president of the universe I’d increase border patrols in the south to screen out all the hot young Latinas and Milfs as they come through and throw the day laborers back like a batch of undesirable anchovies. I would offer up massive tax breaks to bi-curious females willing to engage in 3-somes to encourage that wonderful behavior. I’d get rid of the piece of the unrealistic speed limits in this country (where reasonable) and the peice of shit highway tax patrolmen and consequently police units nationwide would be reduced to bake sales and bingo nights to fund their operations - Fuck a fucking speeding ticket.

Rant over

-Rob

All I will say about your post is,if you think people were Worshiping Palin, you have not seen the Dems Fawn all over Obama, people are treating him like the Second Coming,to answer your other question, what you witnessed (people cheering and Booing) is normal, that's what the conventions are for on Both sides to Fire up the parties Base.

Political think tanks have realized it is easier to sway the masses by making things out to be exciting and almost like a sporting event or gathering of famous people. BUT, you need to weigh your own thoughts against the opposite side of the spectrum before making supposed "unbias" comments on one party. It's the same thing as taking statements out of context.

The real context, in this case, can only be examined once you watch both the RNC AND DNC. While the reactions of the crowds and production control is quite absurd on both sides, I feel you'll have quite a different opinion (if you truly are "unbiased") once you see people fainting at the DNC.

Hmmmm, maybe this is how liberals and democrats obtain support. Someone finally DOES get interested in politics but they always happen to critique conservatives and republicans first, which blinds them to any of the failures and inabilities of the liberals and democrats.

Truly an "unbiased" first rant, indeed. /sarcasm

While I applaud you for getting interested in society, please don't turn into more mindless drivel and accepting anything at face value from either parties, but do know that the democrats have quite perfected the art of blinding others to their lackings while boasting about what is wrong with everyone else.

"Worship?" Go to a NFL game and tell us if you witness anything different. Or NBA or MLB. Seriously.

Don't get me wrong, I feel as you do about all the nutjobs dancing and carrying on at both conventions. The fact is, politics have a meaningful impact on our country's direction and freedoms. If the convention nutjobs wanna have a party every four years let them. At least they don't make an ass out of themselves every Sunday, Monday night and Thursday.
