The difference is Spears is a public figure and role model who pursues the limelight and adulation, as opposed to candidate's families who typically choose to take a more obscure role.

This looks like a case of the kid fucking up not a habitual problem like the Spear's family.
I am sure that if the little Spear had a kid but other then that they where good kids it would not be a big deal.
