Over by Six Flags - two Acuras drag racing... strike a 53-year old man crossing the street going to dinner... man is thrown 225 feet - severing both legs and an arm... killed.... of course, the ricers took off....

hope they find those bastards....

Last week a local 22-year old was sentenced to 10 years wihout a chance of parole for shooting two shots through some guys window in a Road Rage incident.

Interesting take, Joker. So, if someone is hit by two people driving at an insane rate of speed (remember, impact threw him 225 feet - not a low speed impact!); its their fault if they get hit?

Time of day? What was he wearing? Where did he cross? Jaywalking would be a factor and if he was intoxicated.

In this case I would give him 10% comparative. Instead of being worth 1 million dead, he is only worth $900,000.

Back when I used to utilize the bus (ok beer money meant more at that time), I saw a homeless guy get up and walked out into rush mornign traffic. He almost made it across Camelback Road when a kid nailed him doing 50 mph. If he hadn't gone through the windshield he would have went about 200 feet when you consider the impact then the body on the car then the time the car breaked and stopped the point the body then kept going forward sliding on the pavement. It was wierd looking because he looked like a rag doll and made this awful THUMP sound on impact. His drunk buddie ran over and yanked his arse out of the car. Both arms and legs were shattered and bending in all the wrong ways.

I guess I should have yelled at him to stop but I didn't. Hell of a show!
