Hawaii was really nice, but the Texas Hill Country is a place of special beauty on its own. I took the boys out to my brother's wife's family ranch this weekend. It was around 100 degrees and not much wind, so we loaded up and went swimming at two of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
This is the "Blue Hole." Cold, fresh springwater cascades down about 20' through the limestone into a 40' deep natural basin. Ledge diving here is about 12' high.
About 1/2 mile downstream is the "6-Foot" swimming hole. The water runs shallow through the creek bottom and warms up from around 65 degrees at Blue Hole to a more comfortable 78 degrees.
After swimming, we had target practice, then dined on Bar-B-Que'd Kabobs. Just before dark, we did some rabbit hunting. My boys shot their first jackrabbits ever with .22s, and I showed them what a .44 Mag would do to a jackrabbit at 30 yards.
We came back and built a big fire, then shot off about $50 worth of fireworks before bedtime.
You know, there would have been at least 10 things illegal about that day of fun if you lived where I live.
Sucks that they try to protect us from ourselves. Your day sounds like a blast! Good lookin' kid and he looks happier than a pig in swill

More like 15, unless you're Joe Kennedy, then it's ok to set off (illegal) fireworks.
or if you ski backwards down a slope?
how about if you boat beaches because you did not hire the correct crew to move it from summer to winter storage?(Teddy)
Yes, it's on my brother's inlaws' place. Incidentally - you can't get there in a Viper, or most any other street car for that matter. Gotta have a truck or SUV. (and sometimes, it helps to have a bulldozer )
